I just started to experiment a bit with a javascript code called Lytebox. I saw how well it blends into Shape's blog and now I'm experimenting a bit. You can see it in action if your browser has javascript enabled. Just click on the image of my previous post or simply click here. The additional work to make an image appear like that is minimal, but there is one thing I'm not sure if I like it: It automatically scales the images down according to the browser window size and the image quality suffers from the downsampling. If I use it on a regular basis, I might upload a bit smaller images and take out the resizing code.
