"The Dusty Tulips"...is it just me or does it sound like a band name? Edit: these flowers are actually daffodils :-|In case you wonder about the somewhat unusual aspect ratio of this image...I didn't just crop it arbitrarily. I'm trying to mimic the look of what a medium format camera produces. Trying to figure out if it works with my kind of image compositions, as I'm currently thinking about leaving the 35 mm world and stepping up. I feel like I need a new impulse in photography. While in search of it, I found myself playing around with a few gadgets in the recent past, but I think to really get a good spark, I need a hardware that makes me re-discover things and maybe blows my mind a little with new possibilities it might offer.So here we go, after faithfully sticking to my Canon 5D Mark II for five years, I'm now awaiting a Pentax 645z rental for the end of next week. I guess we will go for drinks, see if we have chemistry and take it from there.
