Finally this website got a new design and another -more selective- portfolio structure. I'm a bit late with writing this post...by now you might have already noticed that everything looks a bit different on here. If not, welcome! Feel free to go on a little tour. I'll be posting a couple more projects to the portfolio soon. Two new picturesWhile putting together this new portfolio I dug out two pictures that I haven't showed on the blog before. To bring this back in balance I'm posting them now. Here they are. The first one is a landscape from Iceland that you can find in the series "HURRY UP WE ARE DREAMING!"The second one is a street photo from Havana. It found a home in the series "THE FORGOTTEN ISLAND."Wow, when I say "series" and call them by their titles...it does sound a little over important. Well, it's not. I just really enjoy creating. I get unsatisfied when I consume for too long without creating and contributing something. So here we go:

Today is the 6th anniversary of this photo blog! Wow..time flies! If you are curious about the early days, I wrote a little about it in last year's post.I was wondering what I could prepare in the spirit of the celebrations, and came up with the idea of free iPads for all my readers!! Then I changed my mind and decided to give away free iPad wallpapers instead...how about that? :-)Here they are. Optimized for the 3rd gen iPad we are looking at pictures from- White Sands, New Mexico- The Tall Grass Prairie, Oklahoma- Blankenberge, Belgium- Iceland - god knows where exactly that was..- New York City (twice)- Frankfurt, Germany- And the last three are from Southern California

Latenight Iceland
From the three big trips I did last year (Iceland, Cuba, Burning Man), Iceland is the one I feel the strongest urge to repeat. I saw many of those amazing landscapes and I wouldn't mind walking in them again and again. The light is so interesting up there and it is constantly changing. For the future I have this vague idea of organizing tours to Iceland. Tours that are tailored to photography enthusiasts. I would take care of the whole transportation and lodging, and bring people to exciting photogenic locations - maybe combine it with an optional teaching part. I'm convinced that's a good idea. I would need to find an audience (do advertising) and learn about insurance issues, etc. I'll keep it in mind. Maybe you have some thoughts about it - feel free to share them with me.[buy a print]
